National Exit-poll in the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine.

January 17, 2010 Research & Branding Group Company conducted a national Exit-poll in the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine.

In the course of survey 10000 voters were polled at 500 polling stations in Ukraine.

In implementing of the research was used a two-stage random sampling:
At the first stage, sampling units were the polling stations. The basis of sampling - data on the number of polling stations and registered voters are grouped by regions of Ukraine and the type of locality (urban or rural).
At the second stage of sampling, which was implemented on the Election Day, the units of selection were the voters residing in the territory of the polling station, who took part in the voting. To ensure a representative sample of voters selected at certain polling stations, a survey was carried out taking into account the intensity of the flow of voters. Random selection of respondents at the station poll provided by the procedure that suppose selection by the interviewer at a certain time required number of respondents with a given step.
Subect to the volume of the sample expected limiting error of the sample should not exceed ± 1% (with a confidence level of P = 0.954).
